History
Sublime was a U-Men researcher.
When the X-Men and Brotherhood broke loose of the U-Men prison facility, John took urgent action, injecting himself with a gene sample of Colossus. As the battle continued, he got more and more desperate, adding the powers of both Quicksilver and Surge to his own until he mutated uncontrollably. Eventually being taken down, the gene samples lodged in his chest were recovered.Attributes
Powers
Having injected himself with unknown quantities of Gene Samples from mutants, Sublime gained versions of their powers including :
- Organic Steel Skin: The first power duplicated was from Colossus which transformed Sublime into a hulking monster whose organic steel skin only covered about half of his grossly misshapen body.
- Superhuman Speed: The second power, sampled from Quicksilver. It allowed Sublime to move at super speed, but only for a short time as he was prone to crashing.
- Electricity Generation: The third and final power was taken from Surge. Using this power caused Sublime to grow even larger as he began to generate vast quantities of electricity.
