History
Jean Grey helped defend the Earth from the invasion of the Shi'ar Empire alongside the rest of the X-Men and Excalibur. She used her powers in combination with Mastermind to make it appear as though the Dark Phoenix has returned, which ultimately drove the remaining Shi'ar away in fear.[1]
