Synopsis for "The Iron Destiny"

Iron Man clears a number of large trees next to the Circuits Maximums headquarters as Morley, Cly, and Tony look on confused and exasperated. They question Rhodes for his actions and he gives them some unconvincing excuses before flying off angrily. The three discuss their concern at Jim's spiraling mental impairment as Tony vows that he'll never again don the Iron Man armor.

Vibro is being transferred to a prison in California despite warnings that his power is derived from the San Andreas fault. He manages to escape easily and uses his vibrating powers to fly away and is spotted by Morley, Cly, and Tony driving along the highway. Tony again refuses to use the Iron Man armor despite the danger to civilians. They drive to the Avengers Compound in Palos Verdes where they encounter Rhodes. He greets them angrily but flies off to encounter Vibro who has been spotted at a small town air show. Morley beseeches Tony to meet him there in his old-model armor to prevent unnecessary destruction but Tony once again adamantly refuses.

Meanwhile, Iron Man destroys an innocent farmer's barn while looking for Vibro before arriving in Tulaluma where he carelessly causes additional destruction before finally finding Vibro. After Morley hears radio reports of the conflict, he decides that he will put on the Iron Man armor that Tony built despite a lack of training in order to help Jim and prevent further destruction. Tony stops him and begrudgingly agrees that he will be the one to do it and puts the armor on.
