Glorian makes the Hulk believe that he's living in a world where everything he desires becomes "real". But when Hulk realizes that it's all a trick, he chases Glorian and kills him. Marlo witnesses everything and brakes up with the Hulk (Mr.Fixit).

Glorian and Mr. Coot join forces to defeat the Hulk. Glorian creates visions of an evil Hulk for Mr. Berenghetti and Marlo Chandler, so they start distrusting him. Mr. Cook descends to hell and brings the Necrophage to fight the Hulk.

Synopsis for "Inferno - 2, Hulk - 0"Edit
Hulk and the Necrophage fight in Mario Berengetti's casino. Hulk defeats the Necrophage by hanging him in a freezing room. But the damage caused by Hulk is such, that Berengetti fires him. Meanwhile, Glorian finds out that Coot is really Satan and that he's about to loose his soul if the Hulk does not die soon.

Synopsis for "Soul Man"Edit
Glorian tries to kill the Hulk by creating enemies. But the Hulk resists. Suddenly, Cloot shows up reclaiming Glorian's soul. Cloot grabs Glorian and takes him to the Colorado Cannon where he opens up a door to hell. Hulk arrives a minute later and throws Cloot to the flames. Coot comes out as a gigantic Satan and hits the Hulk with one finger. Hulk knows that Satan is out of his league, so he proposes Satan to leave the issue to chance: with dices. If Hulk wins, Glorian is pardoned, but if Hulk looses, Hulk and Glorian go to hell. Satan agrees but Hulk wins the bet. Unhappy, Satan takes Glorian with him. Hulk tries to stop him, but the Shaper of Worlds shows up and stops Satan. Satan returns to hell promising vengeance and the Shaper of Worlds leaves, taking Glorian with him.

Synopsis for "Nightmoves"Edit
Betty, overwhelmed by the loss of Bruce, suffers a miscarriage. Unfortunately, D'spayre and Nightmare tap into Betty's nightmares and compete to win her soul. The Hulk is drawn into the battle over Betty's soul and he battles through all they can muster to reach Betty and give her a renewed sense of hope.

Synopsis for "Iron Tears"Edit
Hulk and Iron Man join forces against Maggia to get some important information, and a large amount of money. HYDRA and IMA try to defend Maggia's band without success. The super heroes win the confrontation and Hulk gets to keep the money. Tony Stark agrees to assist Bruce Banner in locating his wife, Betty, and their child. Upon discovering Betty's whereabouts and that she had miscarried the child, Stark intentionally fails to share this information with Banner. In fact, the final panel of the comic features Stark breaking the third wall and winking at the reader.

Synopsis for "Phasing Out"Edit
Hulk forces Bruce Banner to call Marlo and tell her about his whereabouts. Marlo leaves at once, but she's involved in a car accident. She's picked up by an Indian who takes her to his car shop. At sunset, Marlo and the Indian are attacked by a Werewolf. Hulk shows up to defend Marlo, and defeats the Werewolf. Marlo tells the Hulk that she loved him for how he is inside. Hulk realizes that is Bruce Banner, not him, who women fall in love with (Betty and Marlo). Hulk waves Marlo goodbye and leaves.

Synopsis for "Still Life"Edit
Doctor Doom sends the Grey Gargoyle to capture the Hulk. Bruce is working under the guide of "Bruce Bancroft" at a nuclear research facility as the janitor. However, one of the scientists has discovered who he is and offers to keep his secret in return for his help in advancing his scientific career. The Grey Gargoyle (in his human form) waits outside the research labs and when Bruce leaves, he pulls out a siren and pulls Bruce over as if he was a cop. He easily turns Bruce to stone and loads him in the back of his car to head back to Doctor Doom. However, at nightfall, Bruce transforms into the Hulk. The Grey Gargoyle panics and attempts to pulverize his stony form with a jackhammer, but the Hulk begins to breaks free from the stone! Next he attempts to run the Hulk over with a steamroller. But the Hulk easily tosses him off and leaves him with his arm broken backwards, unable to touch himself to maintain his stone form.
