History

Named after Herodotus, father of history, the Herodotron was a giant computer completed in early 1968. It was developed to record all historical data, and then use narrative feedback to instill such knowledge in others. The Herodotron was created in an university building in Long Island. Figuring out the potential importance of the machine, in the Earth-689 reality the research center was patrolled by armed guards. Nevertheless, The Avengers managed to break into the facility and wired Captain America into the device, because he had the will power to handle all the incoming information and learned the truth of Earth-689^[1].
