Beast was a resident of "Xavier's Home for Gifted Orphans" and was playing baseball with the rest of the X-Men when Spider-Man visited to get the home to pay its newspaper bill. Beast was playing with the other X-Men at the park, when Spider-Man and the Power Pack asked to join them.
