Colossus Power Grid
Edit
Truth and nothing but truth.Is Colossus a level 6(75-100)tons or a level 7 Incalucable(excess of 100 tons)?
- according to the last handbook, a level 6. This was however, if memory doesn't fail me, before he became the Juggernaut.--edkaufman (talk) 00:21, January 10, 2012 (UTC)
Blue Hulk?
Edit
I think I remember reading an issue of Hulk featuring a Blue Hulk. I was wondering what issue this is
Ezio Auditore da Londra 11:00, January 10, 2012 (UTC)
- For a time, there was a one-page back-up feature in Hulk Vol 2 that featured cartoonish green, red, and blue Hulks. Aside from that, could you be thinking of A-Bomb (though that seems less likely).

Civil War.
Edit
I've recently been getting into marvel, and am new to this site. I want to read the Civil War story line. I was wondering if I would be lost trying to read it without being up to date in the stories of the heroes that are involved in it. I know their basic story lines, and, for some people, the details of their story early on, but not really anything recent.
Also, is this the correct and complete story line?: http://www.amazon.com/Civil-War-Mark-Millar/dp/0785121781/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1326260118&sr=8-1
Thank you.
TheBaconMan 05:45, January 11, 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, that is the correct volume for that storyline. And, really, Civil War was a good self-contained story on its own. There were no major plot points carried out in other books (with the POSSIBLE exceptions of Civil War: The Return Vol 1 1 and Iron Man/Captain America: Casualties of War #1, one of which explained the "return" of Captain Marvel (if you care) and the other did a much more detailed explanation of the philosophies behind Captain America and Iron Man's viewpoints. But neither is remotely necessary to understand the plot or events.

Thor, dead?
Edit
Is Thor dead in the 616 universe? If so, how did he die? TheBaconMan 04:28, January 15, 2012 (UTC)
- He was killed fighting the Serpent. He IS dead, but his post-mortem appearances are being carried out in the page of The Mighty Thor Vol 1.

Tony Stark's inteligence ranking?
Edit
In ranking of Marvel's smartest characters, where does Tony Stark fall? Tony Yinsen 04:33, January 19, 2012 (UTC)
- I believe he's third smartest human on Earth, though the official rankings never came out. If you include the entire universe, he's probably not in the top 100...

How many times has the 616 Frank Castle officially died (including his first encounter with Daken)? Tony Yinsen 04:35, January 19, 2012 (UTC)

Wolverine 1610: is he really dead?
Edit
Is there any way at all for 1610 Wolverine to come back? Tony Yinsen 04:37, January 19, 2012 (UTC)
- There's always a way when you have creative Writers at the helm. Though it's not very likely given that the Ultimate universe is intended to remain quite different.

Iron Man fan: a little RUSTY with current Iron Man history
Edit
I'm a big Iron Man fan, but for the most part been out of touch with his series since the end of Extremis (I know his part in the several event comics though) what would be a good Iron Man title to " jump into" to get to know this awsome character again? Tony Yinsen 04:42, January 19, 2012 (UTC)

whats wrong with Norman Osberne?
Edit
hello, fellow Marvel fans!!! okey, im pretty good at Marvel trivia, especialy Spider Man, but theirs one thing im sure about: douse Norman Osborne sufer from MPD, or is he just insane and only THINKS the Green Goblin exists? iv seen it told both ways, but the MPD thing was in an animated series, and the insanity claim was in the Spider Man Encyclopedia. im confused! HELP!!!!Spidermanfan1945 01:42, February 5, 2012 (UTC)
- As you said, it's been told both ways, so it's impossible to tell which is absolutely true. Your best bet is to go with the most recently published reason.

Please stop cheating Colossus
Edit
What is Colossus's Strength Class? Before he came the new Juggernaut, you said he was a Class 100.A Class100 means a character can lift 100 tons or more over their heads.I have the latest official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Vol.2 and it even says he's a Class100.Now your'e saying he can lift 70 tons, when he was a teenager he can only lift 40 tons. When Colossus was only a teenager,he was capable of knocking down the Juggernaut and if he was only liting 40 tons at that time,he wouldn't be able to do that to Juggernaut.Colossus is one of my favorite characters(Next to the Hulk)and never trully gets his just due.So my freinds I am asking you,Please stop cheating Colossus
darrin_weddle@yahoo.com 20:44, February 10, 2012 (UTC)
- "We" are not "cheating" Colossus. His strength level is taken directly from printed comics, not from opinions.
- As you said yourself, things change. You can't take what was previously said about a character to remain absolute truth for them for their entire publication history. If that were true, Spider-Man would never have gained organic web shooters for awhile...

Marvel's Big 3
Edit
Why exactly are Iron Man (Tony Stark), Thor, and Captain America (Steve Rogers) called the big 3, why do they "stick out" from the rest of the hero community? Tony Yinsen 21:53, February 10, 2012 (UTC)
- I'd argue that they're not even Marvel's Big 3. Spider-Man and Wolverine sell more books and are vastly more popular than Thor and Captain America. Tony may slip into the third place, but Hulk has a strong following too.
- You could argue that those three characters are natural leaders and characters who have changed the face of Earth in one way or another.

Looking for an Alternate universe spiderman title....
Edit
I think it came out in the mid to late 90s but i can't remember the actual title of the comic. i simply remember the cover of one of the issues. It was jungle foliage surrounding a golden scepter/totem with the head being shaped like a spider. i'm fairly certain that it was a marvel comic but under a different name.
- I don't have an easy answer for you, but you can dig through the Spider-Man titles we have here. Good luck!

Just how many Earths are there in the Marvel Universe Universe? Jjj1987 01:08, February 20, 2012 (UTC)

Utgard-Loki in Marvel Comics
Edit
I am looking for a specific Comic. I'm not sure if it was in, "The Mighty Thor", series or was a special in some other publication. The story contained Thor, Loki and Thjalfi and their journey into Jotunheim and encounter with the Jotun Utgard-Loki. This would have been published in the late 60's or early 70's. I appreciate any information anyone can provide. This site says that the tale was published in 1978 but that is far too late for the original I'm looking for.
Spence the Elder
- hey there - i can only confirm what the site says, i checked other sources: Utgard-Loki's first appearance was in 1978. It is of course possible, that he went unnamed in the issue in question, in which case it might not appear in his appearances. But I can pretty much guarantee you that it couldn't have been before 1974, since I have recently gone thruogh all those issues again and the story doesn't ring a bell. Do you have any further info you might remember?--edkaufman (talk) 08:46, March 6, 2012 (UTC)

Hulk ?
Edit
isn't hulk separated from bruce ? if yes so why doen't hulk have his own article ? Minasamy 11:35, March 8, 2012 (UTC)
- not realy. all the different Hulks are different peaces of Dr Banners's subconscience that were brought to life by the Gamma Bomb. whenevere he turns into a Hulk, Dr. Banner goes unconscience and that Hulk is in complete controle of their body. all the Hulks can resist turning back to Dr Banner, but he cant.
- 22:38, April 17, 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, yes, Hulk was separated from Bruce, or so it seems for the moment.
- The reason they're not separate pages is that it is a passing trend. We don't want to have to separate the characters for a few months until they're pooled back together and we have to recreate the original page.
- Too much work!

Misplaced
Edit
Yeah, I was looking at the Steve Rogers/Captain America pages, and noticed that the one from 'Earth's Mightiest Heroes' was listed under 'Wolverine and The X-Men', so I looked at the other Avengers' pages, and noticed the same thing, all of them were listed under the wrong heading. Just thought I should bring it up, so someone can fix it.
- Apparently those two shows take place in the same universe. The name of that universe needs to be corrected to include both shows...

Starting point for a new reader
Edit
Hi, I've never read any Marvel Comics and I feel this is really a good time to start. I'd like to follow all the well-known major stories (Spider-Man, X-Men, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Avengers as the whole...). What would you recommend me to start reading so I can catch up with all the major events in these comics? Oh, and I don't care about the whole Ultimate storylines, I'd like to get into the primary canon. Thanks, Arutha
Arutha 21:08, March 12, 2012 (UTC)
Well, Arutha, a good method might be to check out the new X-men Vs Avengers story, see what characters interest you, and look for their respective titles, and start following, Sometimes following a big story can tell you about major characters. By the way: Don't get discouraged by past years of continuity if you get interested in an older character, just jump in, learn from now and gradually find out more about the character, whether using this database or reading older comics. Also, if you're interested in the past few major events, look around for trade paper backs or graphic novels docuimenting the event, like Civil War, and others. Anway I hope this advice helps, and isn't too confusing, enjoy the reading , and God Bless!
Tony Yinsen 05:11, March 13, 2012 (UTC)
- Also, any Marvel title which has a .1 after its number like this one or this one are good jumping on points. The .1 means a major story arc has started and they are doing a fill in issue before they start the next arc. They are stand alone stories which are good for introducing new people.

Cable....scarring?
Edit
How did Cable get the scars over his right eye? Tony Yinsen 05:03, March 13, 2012 (UTC)
- Still unknown! Presumably as part of his upbringing, though the evidence that Nate Grey also has the same scarring could mean that it was the product of their powers manifesting...

spider man and the transformers?
Edit
Spidermanfan1945 20:54, March 20, 2012 (UTC)i was looking through the comics section of my local library, ( yes, i live in a VERY small town!!!), and found and interesting comic. it was a Transeformers comic and the cover was a bad butt picture of Black Suited Spider Man webbing up Megatron. i dont remember much about it, couse this was several months back, before i was realy getting into comics, but for some reason Spider Man was in some town and he met one of the Autobots. He become freinds with them and helped fight off a Decepticon invasion. at the end, the Autobot Spider Man had been freinds with was killed, and Spider Man gouse home. i was wondering two things: were the Transformers comics Marvel comics, and is that comic worth enything?20:54, March 20, 2012 (UTC)~~
- Hey there. The issue you are talking about is probably Transformers #3 - yes, it was a licensed Marvel comic, which is why Spidey could make his guest appearance. -edkaufman (talk) 22:48, March 20, 2012 (UTC)
New Nova
Edit
Who is the Nova that warns about the Phoenix coming back to Earth? I thought Nova had died recently. I was reading about him and the Nova Corps. The symbols on his uniform showed that he was the Nova Centurion-Prime, but this new Nova has the same symbols. So did he actually not end up dying, is it the new top Nova, or is it just a random Nova with the wrong symbols drawn on?
S-Man-X-Men6 22:54, March 20, 2012 (UTC)
- He's since been revealed as Sam Alexander, a new Nova. His rank within the Corps has never been revealed (that I'm aware of), likely because most people don't remember that there even ARE ranks within the Corps.

Edit
if eny of you have seen X Men Origens: Wolverine, you probobly know and share my #1 compaint of the movie: Logan and Victers relationship. ( if you hvent seen it, i realy recomend it!!!) in it, their pretraid as brothers, but is that ever in eny origin story? i know they origionoly met while in the Army, and i remember reading they had origionoly planned for Victer to be Logan`s father, but they decided against it.16:30, April 4, 2012 (UTC)
Spidermanfan1945 16:30, April 4, 2012 (UTC)
- No, Sabretooth is not Wolverine's brother in the comics. It has been hinted in the past that Sabretooth could possibly be Wolverine's father, or childhood chum, but both of those turned out to be untrue. They are not related.

Is the 616 version of Eddie Brock dead, is he still Anti-Venom, or is he just a regular guy at the moment? I haven't heard much news regarding him. Missing(?)
Edit
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask (or note) this, but I have recently started reading comics with the help of the "Chronological Appearances'" part on the Appearances section of the character pages... but I have just noticed that Scarlet Witch has no such section; it only lists the issues it has been without apparent order. Even more, I'm pretty sure it was there a couple of days ago, so I was wondering if a more wiki-savvy person could take a look.
Thanks in advance!
Malaphor 19:26, April 10, 2012 (UTC)
- hey there, the auto-order only works up to a certain number of appearances, it's possible that she's above that. Thre's a website, the Marvel Chronology Project that keeps chronological listings for most major characters, but it hasn't been updated since House of M, as far as I can tell. I hopenthat helpsna little... :-edkaufman (talk) 21:03, April 10, 2012 (UTC)
- Well, that's...quite disappointing. I don't know how many people use the Appearances' section to wade through the comics in order to follow a character, but it can't be just me. All in all, the older ones could be either managed as "packages" or something in order to make space for the more recent and supposedly more relevant issues? I'm rambling of course, because I have no idea of how to do so myself.
- Funny though, I tried to check on Spider-Man's appearances and the whole thing just crashed on me. And then it logged me off.
- Malaphor 22:44, April 10, 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry for the disappointment, but more than 500 appearances tends to crash the programming we have in place. We're working on developing new programming, but as we're a volunteer group, it takes a LONG time. ;)

different Earths?
Edit
could someone please explaine the differences in all the different Earths? ( Earth-616, ect.) and while your at it, how meny Earths are there?
Spidermanfan1945 22:30, April 10, 2012 (UTC)
- Earth-616 is the place were all the marvel universe main continuity stories take place. Each time you see a story that occurs outside that continuity then it is a different earth, there is no way to say how many they are and they are probably infinite since every time an alterante reality is shown even if it is only in a single panel then it is a different earth. Differences can be small or big, it depends on each place. --Pencho15 18:48, April 18, 2012 (UTC)

Naming earths
Edit
Hi, I was wondering how can I know wich name to put to a different earth. In many comics there are several different universes or alternate realities, most of them only appear on a single pannel in one comic and are never identified with a name, however they all receive a page in the wiki and a number identifying them. How can I know wich number to give to a new earth if I want to create a new page? Thanks. --Pencho15 18:52, April 18, 2012 (UTC)
- If the reality hasn't been listed in a Handbook, we generally use a Temporary Reality Number (the realities you see with "TRN" in them), which helps us to separate the ones that aren't official from the ones that are. Check out the full list of those realities at Category:Temporary Reality Numbers.
- --GrnMarvl14 01:07, April 19, 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks, so supposing I want to create a new article on a different unnamed reality I would have to check the list and create it with the next available number? --Pencho15 18:10, April 19, 2012 (UTC)
- Basically. But make sure it isn't a reality we already have a page for somewhere, and actually IS a reality, and not purely an illusion, dream, or something like that.

Pre-Schism
Edit
How did the X-Men know "something terrible" is coming before Schism?? At the beginning of Prelude to Schism #1 everybody's already talking about the unknown threat coming to Utopia... but I think I missed the issue in which they were alerted of this threat? any help? thnks!
RobertoDaCosta 22:59, April 24, 2012 (UTC)
- Well, ever since Hope's return from the future, there had been hints of the Phoenix (very clear one at the end of Second Coming, I believe it was Second Coming #2, with her exhibiting a Phoenix aura). Given the X-Men's history with the Phoenix, they likely assumed it to be a threat (and Avengers vs. X-Men would sort of confirm that...or at least lean in that direction) and were referring to it.

- So all that stuff about that "big decision" of either stay & fight or get away safely, was because they thought the Phoenix was coming??? but the bad thing coming in Schism was the new Hellfire CLub and the Sentinel attack, right???
- RobertoDaCosta 05:44, April 25, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm with you Roberto. The Prelude series was very disappointing. I was also confused about what threat they were talking about. It seemed like a cheap setup for the Schism event and the team splitting up. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on that series.
- Artful Dodger 17:05, April 25, 2012 (UTC)
- The Prelude series took place between the panels of X-Men: Schism, and yes, it was the Sentinel attack they were fearing (remember, there were Sentinels being bought and deployed by almost every world government). Personally, I liked the series as far as character pieces go (they did a great job of exploring the mindsets of Cyclops, Xavier, Magneto, and Wolverine. Some more than others), but I'd agree it wasn't the greatest overall plot. And sorry for misreading your post. Was thinking you were referring to something else.

Comic links in Disambiguation Pages
Edit
What is it that decides what the comic link is for universes on disambiguation pages?
Ex: 'A character from 1610 has the desciption "Ultimate" above the universe designation (Earth-1610) on a disambiguation page. When you click on "Ultimate", it leads to Ultimate Spider-Man #1.'
One some universes it's the wrong link. Like with Earth-8342 for "Aging Captain America fought Red Skull". Instead of the link being What If? #38, it's "W? Vol 1 38". Or with Earth-20476 ("Banner not Hulk, Jones Killed"). Instead of Incredible Hulk #204, it's "Incredible Hulk Vol 2 204" (which doesn't exist).
And for some universes (like Earth-33124), there is no description.

- Great question!
- It's a long and complicated listing process found at Template:Number to Name. Read the description there, and email me if you have any questions/issues.

Armor for every occasion...
Edit
Is it true that Tony has destroyed all previous Armours up until the Bleeding Edge, even the Classic Armor, and specialty armrours? Tony Yinsen 03:04, May 1, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm actually not sure about this. I've heard all the previous armors were destroyed when they were housed in a building that was collapsed, but I'm not 100% up to speed on the Iron Man mythos ATM....
- Anyone else?

Who do you think would win in a fight between Spiderman and Captain America ?
Edit
My friends and I have been arguing about it, so we need help from someone more expert than us... Who do you think would win in a fight between Spiderman and Captain America ? MrLeo7498 12:17, May 9, 2012 (UTC)
- The results of these fights are highly subjective based on the writer who is writing the fight. You can bet your sweet bippy that Marvel's editorial team has a huge say in how they end up, but really, they can write it either way.

Naruto vs. Thor
Goku vs. Hulk
Luffy vs. Captain America
Spiderman vs. Gohan
Juggernaut vs. Saskue
Wolverine vs. Ichigo
Rogue vs. Sakura
Emma Frost vs. Itachi
- Again, it depends on the writer of the story.

Dark Avengers Vol 1 or Vol 2?
Edit
Shouldn't the new Dark Avengers series be classified as Vol 2? It's an entirely new series that really doesn't have a connection to Vol 1 since it's practically an extension of Thunderbolts. I think you could classify it as Vol 1 if they released the next issue as #17. Ultrabasurero 01:05, May 17, 2012 (UTC)
- Agreed. Feel free to help us fix it!

When healed by the Bloodstone, was Frank Castle made any younger? Being in 'Nam, he's gotta be almost in his 60s, so its gotta be hard for him to keep up with the younger criminals/villains, other wise, whether physically fit or not!

Captain America Age
Edit
How old is captain america supposed to be if he is not frozen or how young he is if he is not frozen.... what is the complete birthdate of captain america or steve rogers? and what is the year when he is undergo special serum ..and the year when he is frozen...? Anyone could answer my questions? thanks!!!
Katemarieperez 10:15, May 24, 2012 (UTC)
He was born July 4, 1922 (he'd be 90 this year). He was in Operation: Rebirth, and got the serum in 1941. When he was frozen sometimes varies in different stories, but generally, it happened in 1944. Also,it is believed that do to the serum giving him very healthy cells, his aging is a lot slower that that of a normal person, so he wouldn't look his age, or be held back by his age (whether frozen or not).
