HistoryEdit
Hellverine is an unnamed Demon who took over Wolverine's body when his soul was dragged to Hell by a group of demons. The demon was summoned by the Red Right Hand who had a mysterious vendetta to make Wolverine's life a living Hell in every way imaginable, and that includes killing and torturing his friends and offspring, and girlfriend Melita Garner.
This demon in control of Wolverine's body and was assigned take out those closest to him. Hellverine’s first target was John Wraith who was working as a pastor and had just met with Wolverine. He attacked Wraith by covering his body with various bugs and insects and then stabs him through the chest. Hellverine then travels to Wraiths church and spits some kind of acid, which he ignites and burn down the church with people inside.
Hellverine next travels to Japan to attack Logan’s former lover Yukio and adopted daughter, Amiko Kobayashi. Melita calls Yukio and she replies to the call, but Hellverine up and kills her. The attack was brutal but Amiko Kobayashi was able to escape. Hellverine undeterred from the failure to murder Amiko, he decides to travel to Utopia, he dresses in Wolverines uniform and sneaks onto the island. While searching his room he is intererupted by Kitty Pryde. He attacks her to Kitty shock, but is rescued by Colossus. Colossus knocks him to the ground and states, "You must fight to regain your senses...before some gets hurt!", unaware of the demons possession.
Hellverine continues to fight the X-Men consisting of Shadowcat, Colossus, Archangel,Iceman all get hurt by Hellverine. Before Hellverine can kill Colossus, he is captured by Mystique and Ghost Riders. While Ghost Rider and Mystique capture Hellverine but not before he injuries Mystique and decapitates one of the Ghost Riders. Suddenly thrown into the Grace Cathedral Church by a Ghost Rider, Daimon Hellstrom does a ritual to try and bring Logan's soul back from Hell, while Melita Garner watches.
Daimon Hellstrom could tell something had happened to Logan, but yet his body was still in turmoil. And it seems one of the Ghost Riders is no longer beheaded. Now, outside the church, Logan's body runs, however, Cyclops, Magneto, Emma Frost and Namor, are waiting, and Cyclops states "This ends now!"
The demon was not exercised and remained in Wolverine's body, the two beings started battling for control over the body. X-men were worried that if Wolverine is allowed to live more people would be hurt, but Emma Frost and Melita Garner protest stating that he must be given the chance to battle the demon.
In Wolverine mind he imagines his fellow X-Men and friends wearing samurai armor and wielding swords to help to help battle the demon. The demon was winning even though he was outnumbered.
Cyclops and the team try to restrain his body to stop the demon from hurting anyone else but it was useless. In Wolverine mind Nightcrawler appears with Jean Grey who uses her powers to force the creature back into Hell.
