Harry Palmer was a human paramedic from Denver who was transformed into a Brood after coming across a crashed Brood Starshark. He soon infected his paramedic partner Josey Thomas, and then began infecting mutants he came across while performing his duties, recruiting an army of Brood Mutants.
Palmer and his Brood Mutants were soon opposed by the X-Men, who defeated and killed each of the Brood Mutants. Palmer himself was eventually killed by Wolverine, but Josey escaped, as the X-Men did not know she was also infected.
