Gog was bought up by Kraven the Hunter when the spaceship which he was on crashed in the Savage Land. He took Gwen Stacy hostage by order of Kraven when her , J Jonah Jameson and Peter Parker were on a mission to find him in the Savage Land. After. Spider-Man seemingly outwitted him when Gog fell into quicksand that Spider-Man had almost succumbed to earlier. Later he was recruited into the newly formed Sinister Six.
