Synopsis for "The Blood of Kings!"Edit
When the forces of the evil wizard Klonus have taken over Korrek's home realm of Katharta, Dakimh and Jennifer Kale dispatch the Man-Thing to that realm to rescue Korrek from execution at Klonus' devices. Transporting both Korrek and Man-Thing to the Realm Between Night and Day, Korrek explains to Dakimh and Kale that upon returning home during their last adventure together, his realm was under invasion of Klonus and the royal family (his parents) were killed effectively making Korrek ruler of Katharta.
After considering how inhospitable Katharta is, Dakimh believes that the evil wizard Klonus wants control of the realm because of its mystical significance in the Nexus of All Realities. All parties agree to go back to Katharta to liberate it from the rule of Klonus. Before they depart, Dakimh warns that one of them is fated to perish in battle. During their fight against Klonus and his henchman Mortak, they are transported back to Earth, where their battle resumes in Citrusville.
The fight ends with Dakimh being struck down by a spell cast by Klonus, Jennifer then uses her powers to entrap Mortak and Klonus in mystical cocoons and they are banished into space. Before Dakimh dies, he tells everyone gathered that he knew all along that he was the one fated to die, but kept it to himself to insure that the others would fight to their fullest ability. Afterwords the Man-Thing returns to the swamp leaving Korrek and Jennifer to deal with Dakimh's body.
