Synopsis for "In Search of the Last Frankenstein!"Edit

The Frankenstein Monster travels to Ingolstadt – the land of his creation. He is searching for any vestige of the Frankenstein family line. As he nears Castle Frankenstein, he encounters a military soldier. The presence of the monster spooks the lieutenant's horse and he is thrown to the ground. Shaken, he attacks the monster with his sword, but the creature easily evades injury and knocks him unconscious.

The monster enters the subterranean ruins of Castle Frankenstein and discovers a misshapen horde of mindless servants burying a cadaver. The castle's owner enters the chamber and notices the monster. He orders his cretins to attack and they manage to subdue him through sheer weight of numbers.

The owner of the castle plans on feeding the Frankenstein monster to a giant spider secured in a pit below him. He reveals that the spider will consume his soul, transforming him into mindless slave, like the rest of his servants.

The lieutenant revives himself and tracks the monster back to the castle. As he enters the lower dungeons, he discovers that the castle's owner is actually Colonel Blackstone – his superior officer. Horrified by the tableau before him, the lieutenant attacks Blackstone.

The Frankenstein Monster meanwhile, manages to free himself from his bonds. Doing so however, destroys the wall of the building facing the sea. Gallons of water begins pouring in, drowning Colonel Blackstone. The Monster begins wrestling with Blackstone's giant spider and eventually destroys it. He swims to the surface and comes up outside of the castle.

NotesEdit

  • With this issue, the title of the series changes to The Frankenstein Monster. It will continue under this title for the remainder of the series.

TriviaEdit

  • This issue makes reference to a man named Jason Frankenstein - reputedly the last living heir to the Frankenstein name. According to Colonel Blackstone, Jason Frankenstein left Ingolstadt more than twenty years ago.
