Synopsis for "No one gets back alive! Part 2"
Secret Invasion: Fantastic Four #2
Face to face with his ex-wife Lyja causes Johnny to think back to all of his past relationships. From childhood romances, to his past loves such as Frankie Raye, Namorita and Crystal of the Inhumans. Of them all, none have ever gotten as close to him as Lyja did and now she is part of the Skrull invasion of Earth, trapping the Baxter Building in the Negative Zone. With her laser blasts restored, Lyja attacks Johnny putting him on the defensive.
In the Baxter Building kitchen, Franklin and Valeria have finished counting to 100 and come out of their hiding spot to find that there has been a battle. Franklin picks up his baby sister and runs off to get something that will make them equal members of the Fantastic Four. Elsewhere in the headquarters, the Thing is battling various Negative Zone bugs that have broken their way into their headquarters. While at that same moment, Johnny and Lyja continue to fight it out. Johnny is shocked to find that Lyja is immune to his flame powers. Still demanding to know what happened to Sue and Reed, Lyja reiterates to Johnny that they are prisoners of the Skrulls who are now invading Earth. As they fight, Johnny notices a police car being pulled through the portal that brought them into the Negative Zone, and pushes Lyja out of its path. The Human Torch suggests that they stop fighting and talk, for old times sake. Because he saved her life, Lyja stops resisting against him and the pair kiss. Their romantic interlude is interrupted when they are attacked by a massive jellyfish type creature. When it grabs Lyja, the two start pooling their powers to break her free.
Back inside the Baxter Building, the Thing comes across a Negative Zone creature, a giant squid. However he is joined by Valeria and Franklin who have put on a combat suit that allow them to help out without getting in harms way. Without a moments notice, they use the armor to blast the squid away. With Reed's lab back under control, they find that the Negative Zone portal has been smashed. Just then, Johnny returns with Lyja and fills them in on what's been going on. With the portal smashed, they are trapped without any apparent way of getting free. However, Franklin suggests they go look for someone at the super-villain prison that Mister Fantastic built in the Negative Zone.

Synopsis for ""The Peril and the Power!""
Fantastic Four #60
Brief Summary:
The Fantastic Four continue their desperate struggle against the newly powered-up Doctor Doom. However, no matter how hard they fight, they cannot stop him. They are able to delay him long enough for Reed's Anti-Cosmic Flying Wing to be deployed. It attacks Doom and leads him up into the Earth's orbit and directly into Galactus' invisible barrier. He disappears in a flash of light and Silver Surfer's surfboard returns to its rightful owner.
Detailed Summary:
The Fantastic Four witnesses Doctor Doom continuing to put on a display of his new power. The Thing becomes impatient waiting for Reed's plan to come to fruition and tries to leave to fight Doom alone but is stopped by Mister Fantastic. Wyatt Wingfoot enters the Baxter Building to warn them that Johnny has rushed off to fight Doom alone.
The Torch catches up with Doctor Doom and attacks him with full force. Doom is able to deflect Johnny's flame attacks thanks to the Power Cosmic that he now controls, ultimately blasting the youthful hero away in a whirlwind.
In Latveria, the weakened Silver Surfer struggles to break free from his cell. He is found by one of Doctor Doom's guards, who starts beating the alien for his own amusement.
The Black Panther has provided the Fantastic Four a new ship to follow Johnny and Doctor Doom. When the FF find Doom, the dictator makes short work of their ship by crushing it with a tree. Reed, Sue and Ben escape the ship, but Doom is coming to attack. He focuses on the Thing, to get revenge for crushing his hands during a previous encounter. [3] Ben is no match for the new cosmically powered Doctor Doom, but he still continues to fight.
The Watcher continues to struggle watching the battle from his viewing post on the moon. Tempted to interfere with the battle, the Watcher decides to visit a far-off sector of space where a new race is evolving in order to resist the temptation.
Reed and Sue climb to safety and find Johnny on the battlefield. They catch up with Ben and Doom. The Fantastic Four begin attacking Doom in a concerted effort, but whatever they do, Doom has a countermeasure to stop them.
In Europe, the Inhumans have landed their ship and begin trying to build a new home; however, they are spotted by some locals. Highly prejudiced of these new strangers, some xenophobic locals try to attack the Inhumans but are sent fleeing when Gorgon stomps his hooves.
Finally, the Fantastic Four have distracted Doom long enough for the construction of Reed's Anti-Cosmic Flying Wing to be completed and deployed. It begins to weaken Doom as it flies by, and, when it takes off, Doom goes after it in a vain attempt to destroy it. This is all part of Reed's plan as the flying wing takes Doom high into the atmosphere, where he impacts the barrier placed around the Earth by Galactus. Because he has the Surfer's powers, this barrier seemingly destroys Doom upon impact, ending his threat. As Reed explains what happened, they witness as the Silver Surfer's surfboard—no longer carrying Doom—flies toward Doctor Doom's castle and its rightful owner.
