History

The French-born Bevatron was a member of the Hellions, the team of adolescent mutants formed by the Hellfire Club's White Queen, Emma Frost. Bevatron joined the team shortly before the Hellions' clash with the costumed adventurers known as the New Warriors. During the clash, Bevatron battled Firestar atop the roof of the penthouse home of the New Warriors' leader, Night Thrasher. A blast from Firestar aimed at Bevatron's feet knocked him off balance, and he fell, sustaining serious injuries, although he later fully recovered.[8]

Soon after, Emma threw another party, which the Hellions, as well as the X-Men's Gold team, attended. It was there that Trevor Fitzroy — a member of the villainous group known as the Upstarts — crashed the party with the goal of killing Emma in order to gain points within the group for killing influential mutants. The Hellions were mere formalities for Fitzroy: some were killed in the crossfire and the rest were drained of their life energies in order to fuel Fitzroy's teleportation portal.[1][2]

Bevatron, along with all the other deceased Hellions, was resurrected by Selene and Eli Bard using the Transmode Virus.[3] He and the other Hellions launched an attack on Utopia.[9][10] Eventually, the New Mutants killed all of the resurrected Hellions, including Bevatron.[4]

Years later, Bevatron resurfaced in the newly-founded mutant nation of Krakoa, having been presumably reborn by the hand of The Five,[5] a group of mutants capable of combining their powers into a process of resurrection, brought together by Charles Xavier as part of his plans for mutant ascension.[11]
