History

Elizabeth Bathory was an Hungarian countess in the 17th century.[1]

She committed a string of atrocities, killing virgins so that she could bathe in their blood, hoping to regain her youth.[1]

When she encountered the vampire Count Dracula, Dracula discovered that bathing in human blood made her immune to his mind control. Bathory offered Dracula to stay in her castle and the young women she was holding prison. Bathory, however, tried to double-cross Dracula by putting garlic cloves on top of his coffin, trapping him inside.

Dracula was able to escape by turning into mist. Dracula then got revenge on Bathory by handing over Bathory's diaries to King Matthias of Hungary that implicated her in the killings of the women. Bathory was tried and convicted for her crimes and sentenced to be sealed away in a room. Later, Dracula entered the room and fed upon Bathory's blood, killing her. When her corpse was found, it was that of an old woman.[2]
