Quote1 I was given this power to end the symbiote threat. Fight fire with fire, fight alien symbiote with alien symbiote. Quote2
Anti-Venom[src]

History

Eddie Brock was the original host of the Venom Symbiote. However, the symbiote was later forcefully removed from Brock's body.[1]

Symbiosis[]

During the Green Goblin's experiments with symbiotes, six new types of these aliens were created. One of them was Anti-Venom, created from the leftover Venom particles in Brock's bloodstream being fused to his white blood cells. When the symbiotes escaped containment, Anti-Venom began to pursuit the others, in an attempt to kill them.

S.H.I.E.L.D. considered Anti-Venom a potential asset in the war against symbiotes, and tried to recruit him. When Agent Venom tried to reason with him, it ended in a fight until Brock fled.

As the symbiotes wrecked havoc in Pier 94, Spider-Man was tasked this time to talk to Anti-Venom. After a fight, Anti-Venom considered helping the Alliance. When Carnage was pinned down, Anti-Venom confronted him, and chased after him as soon as Carnage escaped.

The Green Goblin made an appearance in Columbus Circle to attract the attention of the symbiote. Brock briefly engaged Venom, but soon targeted Hybrid. Brock managed to purge the Hybrid symbiote from its host, and it was contained. The other symbiotes were also captured, as well as the Green Goblin.[1]
