History

Baldur was one of Alchemax's test subjects, bio-engineered and nano-enhanced, to assume the role of the Asgardian Gods as an alternative to super-hero vigilantes. Baldur was one of the most popular and public of these Aesir, making daring rescues of civilians from burning buildings and denouncing the vigilantes like Spider-Man and Punisher as false gods on nightly talk shows.

When the floating city of Valhalla became a battleground between the Aesir and heroes, Baldur and Heimdall were killed by the Punisher and his plasma gas cannon.
