Drums Toggins was a Nazi spy who was active during World War II. A professional drummer, he used this skill on tours to the United States. By the beginning of 1943, he used these skills to beat out Morse Code messages to his fellow spies, giving them instructions on their latest sabotage missions.
When covering Toggins' performances for the Daily Bugle, reporter Jeff Mace deduced what Toggins was doing and as the Patriot rounded up the spies before they could kidnap workers at the Tower Plant. A call to the FBI led to Toggins' arrest.[1]
