History
Dawn Star was a Comanche princess who lived during the days of the American Frontier. She was born in 1848. In her adulthood she met and fell in love with a Caucasian lawyer named Cory Rand and the pair soon married. However, due to the social stigmas of the time, Rand lost his job as a lawyer due to his marriage. Undaunted, Cory and his new bride decided to start a ranch together and live off the land where they had many happy years together.
Soon Dawn Star gave birth to their son, who grew up to be the outlaw hero known as the Ringo Kid, however Dawn Star would not live to see this happen. One day in 1868, Cory Rand killed Shad Rathburn while defending his son in town, becoming an outlaw in the process. Rathburn's men got revenge by burning down the Rand family ranch, and Dawn Star was killed in the fire. Cory was soon captured by Rathburn's gang but rescued by his son who became an outlaw himself by killing all of Rathburn's men.[1]See Also
