Magneto has just revealed that he is Lorna Dane's father, and offers her co-dominion over the world after he has seized control of it. An upset Iceman demands Magneto reveal the bodies that have littered his path thus far, and after a quick huddle, the X-Men decide they're taking Magneto down. After being decked by Cyclops, Magneto offers a fortune to any minions who can defeat the X-Men, and a fierce battle is joined! The X-Men gain a respite by bringing the roof down, and withdraw to plan better tactics.

Later, Cyclops demands Bobby sit this one out because he's too emotional about Lorna. Bobby objects, but the remainder of the X-Men leave him behind.

A few days later, a powerful mutant presence is detected by Mesmero's henchmen. He announces himself as Erik the Red!

That night the Conquistador captures both Hank McCoy and his parents, much to the dismay of Professor X and the other X-Men, who wonder who could have taken him?

Trivia

  • The credits say "Do we have to tell you?" where the penciler's name should be. The answer is never given and it is assumed that Jim Steranko penciled the issue.
