Synopsis for "Transformations!"
Beast and Iceman save some kids from a demon-possessed hot dog stand and a hydrant. Newswoman Trish Tilby and her cameraman record the event. After the danger is dealt with, Trish and Hank talk, but she has difficulties to accept his recent transformation into the furry Beast again. Suddenly a demonic subway car comes out of the ground, it swallows Trish and her colleague and dives back into the ground.
In his graveyard hideout N'astirh thinks about his plans. Soon his minions will deliver him baby Christopher, whom they retrieved from an orphanage. Madelyne is completely under his influence and Manhattan is almost fully transformed. It is a pity that Jean Grey, who is so much like Madelyne won’t succumb to his influence, for within her the light is much stronger than the dark. But that may not be true for Angel, so he contacts him with a spell. Warren is holding the corpse of Candy Southern. N’astirh tells him, that he and his wings have a dark soul, ready to kill. N’astirh wants to continue to play his evil games with Angel, but Crotus interrupts him and tells him that the Limbo demons are ready to enter Manhattan. The communication spell fades out. Angel has heard the line about Manhattan and thinks about his friends and responsibilities there.
In an aircraft Jean and Scott follow the demons who stole baby Christopher. Jean is still in telepathic contact with the baby, but the demon images are overwhelming. As they reach Manhattan the contact breaks down. Jean and Scott are attacked by a demon possessed plane, and almost hit the growing Empire State Building.
Below the ground, the subway train stops at a station, and Beast and Iceman are able to get inside too. The train drives off again and as it reaches Manhattan Bridge Iceman tries to stop the train by freezing the wheels, causing it to disengage from the tracks. The customers inside blame the two mutants but Trish orders them to stop. While the train is busy trying to get itself free from the ice, Beast and Iceman get the people out of one of the windows. Hank keeps the train busy and Iceman evacuates the people to a boat below on the river. Trish realizes that Hank still is the hero she loves, she has an idea how to defeat the subway train. Since the train takes it’s energy of the subway cables she helps Hank to short-circuit it.
Scott and Jean‘s aircraft is hit by lightning as a giant stepping disk appears over Times Square. They exit the plane and Jean levitates them down, nearby they see the demons rain down from the disk. At the East River Bobby and Hank too recognize the disk over New York, followed by one of Cyclops optic blasts. Before they leave to join their teammates, Trish gives Hank a goodbye kiss. The mutant quartet starts to fight the demons as help arrives – Archangel. Together X-Factor defeats a small squad of demons, Jean picks up the baby's thoughts again and realizes that the demons plan to sacrifice him.
