Synopsis for "Redemption!"

Iceman and Beast are taking Leech and Caliban back to X-Factor HQ when they're assaulted by a Morlock kill-team, the Tunnelers led by Berzerker, who think Bobby and Hank are Marauders. Jean and Scott are escorting Artie and a wounded Angel similarly when they stumble across their comrades on the losing side of the struggle. Cyclops breaks up the fight, and reluctantly the Tunnelers choose to accompany X-Factor back to their base. Caliban comes to and realizes that there's no other Morlocks left alive in the tunnels, and swears vengeance. However, a blast of heat forces them to run the last of the distance to a sealed door into the X-Factor complex before they get fried to a crisp by plasma which scours the tunnels clean. Calling an ambulance to deal with Warren's injuries, the unwatched Tunnelers slip out into the city using Masque's power to disguise them. While contemplating their future, they're attacked by thugs on a pier - Blow Hard's death sends Berzerker into a killing frenzy, but one of them manages to call the cops. X-Factor hears about it on the news, and rushes to stop the violence.

Interlude: Apocalypse makes Abraham Lincoln Kieros an offer he can't refuse.

On the pier, despite Jean and Scott's intervention, Scaleface gets shot by police, and Berzerker goes, well, berzerk and starts blasting without restraint. Cyclops blasts him into the harbor - which due to his mutant power is fatal. Scott and Jean leave with a wounded Masque, the only one still alive. Elsewhere, Boom-Boom leaves the Vanisher's thief gang. And at the hospital, Scott and Jean learn that to save Warren's life, they'll have to amputate his wings!
