Synopsis for "Roughhouse!"

The issue opens with Karma arriving at the palace of Madripoor posing as a woman who's car has broken down in the storm. Convincing one of the guards on duty to come with her back to the car, Karma possesses the soldier and gains access into the palace. Amazed by the sheer magnificence of the royal court, Karma loses her psychic hold over the guard who begins to snap out of it. Before alarming anyone though, the guard is swiftly dealt with thanks to Wolverine and Archibald Corrigan. After a brief dialouge behind a curtain - Wolverine learns that Karma has come to the palace in order to free Lindsay McCabe, Jessica Drew, and the crime-lord Tyger from the clutches of her uncle General Coy. Following the scent of the three women, Wolverine and the other two continue their search of the palace.

Meanwhile, General Coy and his two mutant henchmen: Bloodsport and Roughouse are celebrating their capture of Drew, McCabe, and (most importantly) Tyger. Both Drew and McCabe are made slaves to General Coy - the General decides instead of outright killing them to make them his slaves and kill them slowly over time by breaking their will to live. However, Coy also laments at what he is to do about Tyger. The reader then finds out that prior to Roughouse and Bloodsport destroying old man Chang's house (issue #5), McCabe had dressed Tyger in the impenetrable suit of armor given to her by Chang - making it impossible to kill her. Coy offers to free Drew and McCabe if they reveal how to get the armor off, but before either of the two can answer Bloodsport is struck by an unknown attacker (which turns out to be Karma using her psychic abilities).

Revealing himself, Wolverine is attacked by Roughouse. After being flung through a wall, Roughouse and Wolverine begin to fight - after stabbing Roughouse with his claws, the behemoth falls to the ground appearing to be dead. Wolverine then attempts to go after Coy but is suddenly grabbed by Bloodsport who begins to drain him of his blood. Thankfully, a hidden Karma again uses her powers on the villain - loosening his grip. Falling to the ground, Wolverine gets not rest as he's immediately picked up by Roughouse and then thrown through the wall again.

Able to fight off the psychic attack, Bloodsport regains control of himself and leaves Karma mentally exhausted. Seeing no other course of action, Corrigan grabs hold of Karma and reveals himself with a gun against her head. Corrigan threatens to kill Coy's niece if he harms either Drew or McCabe. The General calls his bluff, but before Corrigan can take a shot at Coy he's attacked by Bloodsport - who almost gets the better of him before Drew topples the vampire-mutant over. Boasting his inability to be killed by mortal means, Bloodsport prepares to fight Drew - only to then be attacked by Tyger.

Outside, Wolverine and Roughouse continue to fight each other - going nowhere fast as either one can't get the better of the other (Roughouse can't break Wolverine's Adamantium bones or defeat the speed of his mutant healing and Wolverine isn't strong enough without using his claws to kill Roughouse). Out of nowhere, Drew pounces on top of Roughouse and flips him over into the ground. Returning the favor, the giant mutant throws her into a nearby pool. In turn, Roughouse is then kicked into that same pool by Wolverine. Infested with tentacles attached to some unknown creature - the pool proves to be deadly for Roughouse and Drew. Wolverine plunges into the water and uses his claws to free Drew. Roughouse is quick to follow but before he can cause any more damage Wolverine unleashes his berserker and knocks him unconscious.

Back inside the palace, Tyger gets the better of Bloodsport and appears to either kill him or knock him out. Frightened, Coy begins to panic and before he can even think of escaping is confronted by Wolverine and Drew. Intent on killing him, the two close in on Coy only to be stopped by the Prince of Madripoor himself.
