Synopsis for "The Start of the Quest!"
Namor swims towards Atlantis to find that Krang has seized the throne. Dorma tells him that the people stand with him, and that with her help he can still regain his crown. Namor says that he needs no help. Dorma says that if she cannot have him that no one will and calls out to the guards to come seize Namor. Namor starts a fight while the guards claim that he is no longer prince, and that the scepter is Krang’s. Namor is eventually captured and Dorma tells the guard to bring Namor before Krang so that Namor can see that his throne is lost to him forever. She thinks to herself that only then can she hope to win his heart. Namor is brought before Krang as Krang sits on the throne. Krang says that when they are ready that he is going to lead an invasion against the surface world, and that Atlantis will once again rule the world and orders Namor to the dungeon. Dorma rides a shark up to Namor’s cage. Dorma says that she offered Namor her heart, but that he spurned her. She asks Namor if this cage is more to his liking. Namor asks Dorma if she has come to gloat. Dorma says that she has come because her heart would not let her stay away. Namor says that it will take more than empty words to purge her guilt, but that there is still time for her to erase her treasonous deeds. Namor says that there is only one thing that can free him, and that he commands her, by the love that she professes for him, to bring him the vibra-key that is located in the Desk of State in the Great Hall of Atlantis. Dorma shows Namor that she already has it. She says that even though Namor’s heart is cold and he spurns her love that her heart would wither and die without him. Dorma frees Namor’s hands and then blasts the bars down. Namor says that when he is prince again that he will not forget and that she will not find his gratitude wanting. Dorma thinks to herself that it is not Namor’s gratitude she wants but his love. Namor wishes Dorma farewell and says that he will not stop in his quest to get Neptune's trident until he has the trident or death. Namor heads to the Cave of Shadows where the first clue as to where the trident is hidden. Namor spots a shell with Neptune’s mark, and then notices that a giant killer squid guards the shell. Namor says that though he holds dominion over all that swims that the squid will not bend to his will because it is doing Neptune’s work. Namor swims through the squid’s tentacles and right up to the squid’s eye and hits it right in the eyeball. As the squid swims away, Namor grabs the shell and swims towards the entrance. Namor arrives at the entrance to find it sealed shut. Namor says that Krang must have learned of his quest because only he could do this. Namor realizes that this is the only way out, and that a squid whose strength dwarfs that of a hundred Sub-Mariners is almost upon him.

Synopsis for "To Live Again!"
While preparing for yet another device to destroy the Hulk, Ross fumes over the loss of the Absorbatron, and the apparent death of Bruce Banner, when one of his subbordinates informs him that Banner's body has gone missing. Elsewhere in the desert, Rick Jones takes the inert body of Bruce Banner to Banner's hidden laboratory and bombards it with more Gamma radiation in hopes of reviving Banner. Banner's body turns into the Hulk and revives, where Rick is startled to learn that the Hulk has retained Banner's mind. To make matters worse, Banner informs Rick that if he were to change back into his human form he would surely die and decides to find a way to make his change into the Hulk perminent.
Elsewhere the Leader is contacted by his employers, who berrate the Leader for his failure in obtaining the absorbatron. The Leaders offers them an even greater weapong for a million dollars, however the Communists are not sold and tell the Leader that he will only get the money if he proves his claims by destroying a missile base. The Leader agrees and unleashes his latest creation: A gigantic Humanoid which he sends into the desert to go and destroy the nearby missile base. All opposition in it's path are unable to destroy the gigantic humanoid.
Meanwhile, at the Navada military base, Glenn Talbot tells Betty of Banner's apparent demise and the suspicion that he may have been a traitor to his country. Both are unaware that the Hulk had arrived on the base and has been listening in on their conversation, the Hulk concludes that in the state that he is in, he will let Betty believes what she may so that she may live a normal life without the Hulk.
Just then, the humanoid arrives at the base, and begins it's attack. The militaries counter attack does not work, and the Hulk bounds in to try and stop the creature itself. However, the Hulk's strength is still not enough to defeat the creature either. Undaunted, the Hulk tries again and starts bounding towards the humanoid. At that moment, Ross has ordered their new "Sunday Punch" super-missile be deployed against the creature. Overhearing this, Rick tries to warn the Hulk however, Banner chooses to ignore Rick's pleas and continues on his path to destroy the humanoid. This story is continued next issue....
