Synopsis for "Grottu, King of the Insects!"
The radiation from atomic bomb tests mutates a common ant, increasing his size and strength a thousand fold, and grants him human-level intellect. Calling himself Grottu, he declares himself King of all insects, and sets about on a plan to conquer the world. His efforts are foiled by an adventurer, who succeeds in turning Grotto's ant followers against him, leaving him for dead.

- "I Saw the End of the World" is reprinted in Fantasy Masterpieces (Volume 1) #3.
- "I Was Captured by the Mole Men" is reprinted in Monsters on the Prowl #14.
- First appearance of Grottu, King of the Insects. Although Grottu appears to die in this issue, he actually survives and appears next in Marvel Monsters: Monsters on the Prowl.
Trivia
- In the original treatment, "Frank" was a unique character who only made one appearance. Subsequent material has revealed that Frank is actually monster-hunter, Ulysses Bloodstone.
- While most of Marvel's horror anthology stories are commonly regarded as non-canon, Grottu, King of the Insects has made several appearances in Earth-616 continuity as a foil for Ulysses Bloodstone and the Fantastic Four.
