Synopsis for "The Singer & Her Song"

Illyana had the Darkchilde side of her made manifest by the Beyonder, and it overwhelmed her. She dragged Phoenix, Shadowcat, Dazzler, and Cannonball to Limbo with her. There was a brief fight, Shadowcat grabbed the soul-sword, and used it to dispel Illyana's Darkchilde persona. Unable to contact either the X-Men or the Avengers, they decided to make another attempt to free Sunspot and Magma (who didn't join the battle against the Beyonder). Dazzler infiltrated the gladiators, but Rachel got cut off by a psi-screen. Kitty got a job as a tech, found out there were no hostages, and went to alert Sunspot and Magma. Rachel, Cannonball, and Magick were on their way to cause a ruckus at the next bout when they ran into the Beyonder. Dazzler stunned Kitty, and she got ambushed by a mysterious (and large) figure. Said mysterious figure received a psionic surprise, and Kitty found herself inside a large robot fighting Sunspot and Magma in the arena.

Notes

• Secret Wars II continues in this issue, which mostly means that it starts not exactly where the last one left off.
