• The "wave" that Veranke refers to is the Annihilation Wave, a massive army of insectoids commanded by Annihilus that laid waste to the Skrull galaxy during the Annihilation event.
• The opening events take place just after New Avengers: Illuminati #1 (mini-series).
• Among the characters seen on the "list" are Black Bolt, Sasquatch, Cyclops, Elektra, Wonder Man, Jocasta, Iron Man, Nighthawk, and Hulk. Also among them appear to be Nightcrawler, Thing, and several others that are blurred.
• Singled out from the list is Spider-Woman.
