Synopsis for "The Lonely Man"
The son of a cyclops is very lonely so he goes around pan-handling for friends. Since the look of a cyclops is fatal, he never keeps friends for very long as he has this one bad habit of taking off his sunglasses in order to get a better look at them.

Murdock invents a serum that will preserve his brain even though his body appears dead because he hopes to avoid atomic war that is impending. Peace breaks out and scientific advances occur that allow immortality, but Murdock lies in a coffin appearing dead but really just thinking, immobile.

Synopsis for "The Death of Me"
A man comes to the realization that the reflections that gaze out at us from mirrors are actually murderous beings from a different dimension that wish to usurp our place. He breaks all mirrors and tries to warn people but they put him in an asylum. He gives the story to a reporter who knocks over a pitcher of water as he leaves the man's cell. The evil reflection reaches out of the puddle and strangles him.

The victims of a slumlord's unsafe living conditions fly their coffins to the man's lawn. He attempts to flee, but the coffins hem him in and bury him alive.
