Synopsis for "The War Begins"
In the blink of an eye, Earth's heroes were gathered together in a construct in space. They were unsure as to what or who had brought them to this place. They introduced themselves to each other. They then realized they weren't alone. Across the way another construct had appeared and had gathered and it housed the villains of Earth. The heroes were unsure; if all the villains were in the other construct, then what was Magneto doing in theirs.
The villains were wondering the same information in the other construct. After they introduced themselves to each other, both ships were hurtled through space they and realized that a very powerful being had summoned them all. The villains began to bicker with each other and a fight broke out. Ultron tried to defeat them all and was knocked into Galactus. They were all amazed that Galactus simply drained the energy from Ultron. Galactus then went back to staring away at the stars.
Suddenly, a bright light appeared in space and a voice announced who had summoned them all, the Beyonder. He told them he could do anything imaginable and that he ordered them to battle each other, and the winning side would receive whatever they want. Galactus refused to obey him and tried to fly towards the light because he sensed it had much energy, which he was immensely hungry for. Doctor Doom followed Galactus and when they got close enough the light diminished and they were thrown back. Then, the constructs were sent to a nearby planet and dispersed among two separate places on the planet. The heroes were then transported to the face of the planet. There they again questioned why Magneto was on their "side". They argued and this caused Magneto to "fly" away. They then decided Captain America would be the leader of the band of heroes.
Meanwhile, Galactus and Doctor Doom were seen on the planet surface as well. Galactus was unconscious as Doctor Doom explored the planet and found a fortress. Inside he found the other villains. They were trying to band together and defeat the heroes. Doctor Doom talked to them about stealing the immense power of the Beyonder, but was disgusted at their simple minds and took off in a vehicle to seek out counsel with Mister Fantastic. Kang used the fortress' weapons and shot down Doom's vehicle. The heroes saw it go down and tried to help him. Doctor Doom attacked after Captain America said to Doom that he could just tell him and then fled. The heroes then turned around and saw the villains all gathered and starting their attack.
