The Rhino also appears in an origin flashback in this issue. He chronologically appeared last in Alpha Flight Special #1. His last actual appearance was in Amazing Spider-Man (Volume 1) #43. He appears next in Incredible Hulk (Volume 1) #124.

Georgi and Igor are the two Soviet agents responsible for transforming Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich into the Rhino.

Whereas previously the Rhino was considered a Spider-Man villain, from this point onward, he is also recognized as one of the Hulk's most infamous adversaries.
