Synopsis for "Having a Wild Weekend (Part 5) - A Day at the Circus"

Nightcrawler finds himself in a cage, pointed at by dozens of circus-goers, oddly though, he looks like a “normal” human and they all look different. Kurt is plucked from the cage by a moose who is attempting to pull a rabbit from his hat in a magic trick, which causes Kurt to go on a series of misadventures in the big top, including accidentally knocking a lion performer into the lion’s mouth and taking on a group of performers, before he gets captured, and tied to a wall, with knives being thrown at him. Meanwhile, Meggan and Kitty are reunited when Meggan makes her way into the control room where Kitty is, before Kitty discovers how to rescue Nightcrawler, and does so just before a knife hits him. Elsewhere, Captain Britain continues along the Yellow Brick Road, when he is attacked by flying monkeys, though he manages to fight them off.

Trivia

  • "Having a Wild Weekend" features parodies of characters from the cartoon "Rocky and Bullwinkle." Among these are "Romanoff" and "Karloff", patterned after the Rocky and Bullwinkle characters of Natasha and Boris. Combined, the names reference Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) and actor Boris Karloff.
  • "Having a Wild Weekend" also features parodies of Disney character Dumbo and continues the "Wizard of Oz" parodies began last issue.
