Synopsis for "Crisis on Counter-Earth!"

Shanghaied by the Inhumans, the Hulk is heading for outer space aboard their Ark. Frustrated, he pounds on the walls and alters the rocket's course so that it lands on Counter-Earth.
The military people who find Bruce Banner in the space capsule are surprised: the "real" (i.e. Counter-Earth counterpart) Banner is on a secret mission, so this impostor is taken to Washington as a spy. Realizing the danger, Banner "hulks out" and takes refuge in the Washington Monument. After the artillery blows the top off the monument, he goes after the infantry. One of the Man-Beast's "new men," Kobrah, succeeds in capturing the Hulk with a gas mask. Meanwhile, the Recorder finds Adam Warlock and releases him.

Notes

  • This story line picks up from the Warlock title, which was canceled in October 1973 after only 8 issues.
  • The "new men" bear striking resemblances to the inner circle of Nixon's White House.
