Synopsis for "Spawn of the Flesh-Eater"

Marie Baptiste rushes forward beating the Hulk with her fists, accusing him of being the flesh eating monster who has taken her brother, Paul, from her. The Hulk tells Marie that he was innocent of any wrong doing involving her brother. He promises to find the missing Paul and leaps off. The Hulk finds the Wendigo and who he believes to be Paul Carteir. After a short fight, the Hulk escapes with his find back to Marie and the hunters. Marie is relieved to see the Hulk until she discovers the man in the Hulks arms is really Georges Baptiste, Paul's friend and one third of the original hunting trio. Georges revives and relates his tale: he, Paul, and another were hunting when they are attacked by a pack of ravenous wolves. The third member of their party, Henri Cluzot, is mortally wounded, but all escape to a cave. Cluzot dies and the other two begin to slowly starve to death. On the fourth day, Georges wakes to find Paul dining on the corpse of their dead friend. The Wendigo legend proves true as Paul is condemned to become the flesh-eater after defiling the body of a fellow human. Hulk tells the group he has not done as he promised to do and leaps off to find Wendigo/Paul who's path isn't hard to follow. Paul, speaking to the Hulk telepathically, begs for help realizing he is slowly losing his humanity with each passing minute. A fight ensues wrecking a logging camp and ending with Paul finally succumbing to the Wendigo legend. The Hulk can only watch in confusion as the beast returns to the forest, Paul trapped in the beast.
