Notes
- Mister Fantastic, the Invisible Girl, the Human Torch and the Thing last appeared in Strange Tales #105; They all appear next in Strange Tales #106.
- The Impossible Man appears next in Fantastic Four #175. Unlike many other early Fantastic Four villains, the Impossible Man dosen't reappear until the mid-1970's.
- The second story reveals a lot of previously unknown information about the Fantastic Four's background and history. However, the fact that both Reed and Ben were World War II veterans has mostly been forgotten and abandoned in recent decades.
- The Xantha Saucer makes a cameo appearance. The Fantastic Four acquired the ship in Fantastic Four #7.
Trivia
- Willie Lumpkin previously appeared in a short-lived King Features syndicated comic strip called Willie Lumpkin (what else?), which Stan Lee and legendary Archie Comics artist Dan DeCarlo created in 1960.
