Synopsis for "And Then -- The Invaders!"
After a training session, the Fantastic Four are shocked to find that their headquarters is being invaded by Nazi's coming through Dr. Doom's time machine. After fighting them back, Reed deduces that when Luke Cage was briefly a member of the group, one of his outbursts activated the time machine and also sent a canister of Vibranium into the past. Uatu appears as if to confirm this, and Reed checks the historical records and is shocked to find that history is changing so that with the Vibranium, the Nazi's would be able to win World War II. The Fantastic Four decide to travel back in time to fix the trouble to the time stream.
Arriving in the past, the Fantastic Four appear in the middle of a secret meeting of the Invaders. After a brief battle, the Fantastic Four convince the Invaders that they are not Nazi spies and are allowed to join them on an attack of Castle Cherbelle, where the Vibranium canister is being kept.
Storming the castle, the FF help the Invaders in their attack on the castle, during which Captain America has his fated battle with Baron Zemo, in which he douses Zemo with Adhesive X, permanently gluing the Zemo's mask to his face. With the help of the Thing, the FF manage to turn a missile launched by the Nazi's back at the Castle destroying it.
When Ben come around, he finds that he has been brought back to the present along with his FF comrades. Reed reveals that he only retrieved half the canister, but tells the others that what their adventure took place in an alternate reality. After Reed and the others leave Ben alone, Utau appears once more leaving Ben to believe their job fixing the past is not done.
