She tells how she was the chosen of Apollo the Greek to act as prophet to the people, after living out her mortal lifein the temple of Apollo and Artemis (the Nexus of all realities), Apollo allowed her spirit to endure and they would watch as each of her descendants would take of the role of a Sibyl. However when one such descendant named Thaleia would go mad and her behaviour thereafter would lead to the loss in faith in the Sibyls and she would ultimately poison herself. However it was foretold that the "Black Oracle" would eventually save the world from danger. Clea wakes from her dream and tells Stephen of what she had dreamt about.

When they arrive in Rome, Stephen and Clea are shocked to see almost immaterial Roman soldiers bearing laser rifles. Deciding to investigate, the two travel to the Temple of Apollo and Artemis. Led by the evil wizard Xennus, this society comes from a reality where the Roman empire never fell and society became even more advanced than their native dimension.

While Clea works in unison with the Black Oracle and the spirit Sibylla to seal the rift in reality, Dr. Strange must prevent Xennus from stopping them, battling the mage through out various dimensions. However, the evil wizard fails in his goal and the three woman manage to banish him back to his own dimension. With their mission a success, the Black Oracle's body crumbles to dust and the cavern caves in, leaving Strange and Clea alone to witness another sunrise.
