- Shang-Chi and Fu Manchu appear in flashback to events that take place prior to their first appearance in Special Marvel Edition #15. Fu Manchu's flashback appearances in this issue take place following the flashbacks revealed in Deadly Hands of Kung Fu #5, and prior to the flashbacks from Master of Kung Fu: Bleeding Black. Shang-Chi chronologically appeared last in flashback in Deadly Hands of Kung Fu #5. His next chronological appearance takes place in Special Marvel Edition #16.
