Synopsis for the 1st Story

Two girls drive into a small town called Dinosaur, Colorado, trying to escape one of the girls' cheating boyfriend. They stop by a small diner, where a few scared patrons warn them to leave. One of the girls, Ronnie, goes into the restroom, under the pretense of urinating, when she is trying to call her boyfriend. then suddenly, when she touched a mirror, it oozed liquid and the door to the cubicles came down easily. the other patrons in the diner soon then turn to stone. There is a scream, before the girls' car is eroded away to nothing.

In Louisiana bayou, Ares slashes Man-Thing in half. Ares relates and anecdote of how his father Zeus threw him in the Cave of Gibbon and they had to fight their way out; Venom is actually have sympathy for Man-Thing, which Ms. Marvel believes to be that his medications have turned him funny.

The next morning, at Avengers Tower, the Avengers sit down for breakfast, where Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel get on each other's nerves. Daken also uses his pheromones to agitate Victoria, but Osborn, in full armor, calms the situation. Victoria then debriefs the Avengers on the disappearances the two girls shown earlier, one of them is the secretary of state's daughter. He is calling the Avengers on a personal favor, as he controls the committee that controls the Avengers' financing. Hawkeye is predisposed to suspect that the girl's boyfriend, betting Victoria five dollars but she dismisses it, as the boyfriend was in Washington D.C. at the time; he rescinds his bet. Also, various people passing through Dinosaur, Colorado have all disappeared. Osborn sends the Sentry to check it out. As soon as the Sentry is away from the Tower, Victoria asked Osborn why he locked himself in his lab for two days and why he is fully suited up. He answers that he was calibrating new software. Meanwhile, Ms. Marvel is being flirtatious with Hawkeye. She then walks away, letting him see her take off her shirt, making him grin.

The Sentry lands in the middle of Dinosaur, seeing that the town is entirely deserted. He then sees someone in a hat but then an energy buildup on his hand engulfs him, causing him to explode. Osborn then gathers the Avengers and H.A.M.M.E.R. to deal with this situation. However, he pulls Venom off the mission for being emotionally unstable.

When Ms. Marvel lands, she begins to realize something but then the Helicarrier loses contact with her. Osborn tries calling a retreat but loses contact as well. He then appears naked in a dark dimension, before Mephisto, Enchantress, Set, Zarathos, Molecule Man and the Dragon of the Moon. Molecule Man comments that he looks like king of the world but it doesn't look like he's in charge of anything.
