Synopsis for "Assault on Sanctuary II"

Firelord refuses to be part of the alliance with the Skrulls, until he visits his homeworld, Xandar, and learns that it has been destroyed by Nebula's forces. Incensed, he then joins the battle with a vengeance, but is quickly put out of action by a powerful enemy force-bolt. Captain Marvel becomes a living storm of electromagnetic energy and disables the mercenaries' defense shields, whereupon their foes find themselves facing an assault force seemingly led by Thanos and the Avengers. The mercenaries surrender, and "Thanos" and "the Avengers" resume their true identities as General Zedrao and his men. Starfox captures Nebula and is stunned when she claims to be Thanos's granddaughter. Suddenly, a bizarrely costumed figure appears and causes Nebula and her henchmen to vanish. This is the Beyonder, the incredibly powerful being who had recently abducted various of Earth's superhumans to another planet. Having taken human form, and wishing to help the Avengers dispose of Nebula, he has mistakenly aided her escape. Befuddled when the Avengers are angered at his actions, the Beyonder teleports away.
