Synopsis for "The Gods and the Gang!"

Back on their own Earth, the Avengers are plunged into battle with hundreds of Roxxon/Brand troops. When Hugh Jones learns he can no longer depend on the Squadron Supreme, who have turned against the Serpent Crown's representatives on their homeworid, he unleashes his secret weapon, which fells all six heroes with a single blow. Before they can be disposed of. however, the newly returned Thor and Moondragon appearon the scene to face the "weapon," actually the Sub-Mariner's foe, Orka the Human Killer Whale, his size and strength tripled by Brand's technology. Moondragon falls, and Thor must bring his full power to bear to defeat Orka alone. Jones attempts to kill his hostages, but Hellcat has already broken her bonds and forced her ex-husband to free the others. Triumphant, the Avengers return to their mansion to choose a new team roster.
