Synopsis for the 1st Story
Jessica Jones is a private investigator working in New York City. One of her clients visits her office, but is not satisfied with the work that she has accomplished. She has recently discovered that her client's wife has been cheating on him. Blaming women in general for his failed marriage, he attacks Jessica, who promptly flips him through her office window. She then calls the police and files a report.
That night, she meets up with her boyfriend Luke Cage. The two spend an intimate evening together, but Jessica feels remorseful over the direction that her life has taken.
The following day, a woman comes into her office and hires her to find her sister. The sister has been missing for several days. Jessica accepts the case, and follows up on a few leads that she gained from the Internet. She discovers that the sister has been living with a secret boyfriend. Under surveillance, Jessica witnesses the boyfriend hurriedly leaving the sister's apartment, whereupon he quickly changes into a very familiar costume – the costume of Captain America.
