History

With S.H.I.E.L.D. and the superhero community possibly compromised during the Skrull invasion of Earth, Nick Fury felt his only option was personally develop and cultivate a potential pool of talent from which to select agents. He created a list of potential super-powered agents that no one knew about, that hadn't been exposed or exploited. Nick Fury organized them into three teams, White, Grey, and Black, each led by an established agent he could trust:

• Team White (Nick Fury's personal hammer):
  • Daisy Johnson - Seismic waves (daughter of Mister Hyde) - (captain).
  • Jerry Sledge - Enhanced Strength (son of Absorbing Man).
  • Yo Yo Rodriguez - Enhanced Speed (daughter of Griffin).
  • Eden Fesi - Universal Shaper.
  • Sebastian Druid - Mystic (son of Doctor Druid) - ("decommissioned", re-join).
  • Deceased members:
    • J.T. James - Pyrotechnic (descendant of Carter Slade) - killed by Nick Fury.
    • Alex Aaron - Demigod, God of Fear (son of Ares) - killed by Gorgon.

• Team Black (Recon, tasked with HYDRA):
  • Alexander Pierce - (captain).
  • Ellis Love - Telepath.
  • Ben Huth - Flight.
  • Ahmed Noor - Atom Smasher.
  • Cornell Gray - Parasitic Brain.
  • Lauren Wolfe - Polymorph.

• Team Grey (Attack and Response, tasked with Leviathan). All members of the Team Grey died on their mission on the HYDRA's base.^[1]

The original list included Layla Miller with her power listed as "Causality". She declined to join saying that it wouldn't work. Layla chose to remain affiliated with X-Factor, saying the mutants would need her.
