Hey, seems like we have received a lot of alternate realities in the appendix, and there is a big bunch of them for the issue 630-640 (around those numbers) for Captain America and Black Widow.

    Appendix of realities

For those who work around it, "enjoy"..

    New title

    June 2, 2013 by Haultan

I am going to drop X-MEN Legacy because I have found it really boring. So I was wondering if I could have some suggestions on a new title for me to buy.

    I currently buy:

All New X-MEN Avengers New Avengers Young Avengers Gambit Astonishing X-MEN Ultimate Comics Ultimates Ultimate Comics Spider-Man Ultimate Comics X-MEN Uncanny X-Force Cable and X-Force Guardians of the Galaxy

So does anyone have any good suggestions on a new series that is either going to be starting soon or is a few issues in (up to 3/4 issues in)?

Welcome, True Believers, to my second SoapBox. There were a few comments on my last one pointing out some mistakes I have made. I'll start by fixing them. I said the Uncanny Avengers were formed to stop Scott Summers. I was wrong. It was really to bring better reputation to the mutants by making a mutant Avengers team. I think that is the only mistake they pointed out. Now, onto the title of the day. Venom. This is my all time favorite title so far in MarvelNOW. I only just started so I have the first 4 that are in NOW (31 to 34 so far) but it's an amazing book. SPOILERS!!!!! So Flash moved to Philadelphia to escape his past and he found a new job and his life is picking up (Kind of) when Eddie Brock shows up unexpectedly. Flash doesn't kn…

I've been thinking recently about al the new Avengers teams with all new members and such and was thinking about if they will ever do a team of heroes from around the world. I know that during the later Mighty Avengers did something like that, but I think they should actually make a team for the world. I've made a list of members and want to know what your ideas are.

    • Leader: Captain Britain
    • Second In Command: Darkstar
    • Power House: Skaar
    • Genius/Controversial member: Radioactive Man: Has reformed and become a member of China's superhero team
    • Fun Guy: Puck
    • By-the-books member: Sabra
    • Warrior: Ka-Zar
    • Will do what must be done Member: Swordsman; Was revived in Chaos War

I was waiting for more informations before start it, but as Black Swan and Manifold of that series have been created, I think it's time to work on it.

So, it appears that I was right to think I was wrong during my edits.

I've already created TRN265, gathering in it Manifold and Black Swan.

So let's move TRN265 for Black Swan universe.

But for Manifold, Galaktus and Terrax ? Are they from the same (TRN266) or not? I will do the edit in that way, but a correction will be needed.

Captain Canuck, the iconic Canadian superhero, will be brought to life thanks to Smiley Guy Studios and generous donations from the fans.

$50,000 by May 27 was the goal in order to get started on an original Captain Canuck five-part animated web series and it appears as though that goal as been reached. In the end, the Flexible Funding Campaign managed to just exceed expectations with $51,958 (Canadian, of course) being raised for the project. Character designs will be done by comic book artist Kalman Andrasofszky, known for his work on Captain America, G.I. Joe, X-Men and X-23 while animation will be managed by animation director Sam Chou of Style 5 Animation. No word yet as to when to expect the series, but for a glimpse into the campaign…

Okay, let's face it. Spider-Man's comics are losing their quality. The way the stories are conveyed is better than ever, but the actual stories themselves need improvement. Here's what I suggest be done to make the character as Amazing as he deserves to be (note: these are not in any specific order)

    1. Bring Gwen back

Okay, I'm actually kind of iffy on the actual character. So here's what I suggest. At one point, the Lizard rips some skin off of Peter's body and some off of Gwen's, then uses the samples to create a Gwen clone that is Peter's age, works for the Lizard, and happens to be able to manipulate any kind of liquid to her own ability. As planned, Peter is heartbroken, but he eventually hits Gwen over the head, causing her to gain the…

Nuff said, here is the gameplay stuff. And I have to be honest. I am not feeling it. They still haven't revealed that much of this game and it feels like he will be giving more corny one liners. not to say I didn't enjoy this. Its just if they go like this for like 7-8 hours I may get a bit bored.

I haven't read Civil War in quite a bit but what I remember is Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic went a little Norman Osborn and Dr Doom on us for a while there.

Iron Man's attack on Spiderman, he nearly killed him didn't he. I didn't get a chance to read that one but I saw some panels. And he attacked Cap, with a fancy suit capable of allowing him to go toe to toe Magento and the Hulk, he uses to attack a guy with Spider powers and another with a shield. Both very good friends of his, I might add.

Wasn't the cloning of Thor, their supposedly fallen comrade especially, but cloning anyone, going a bit too far. I remember one scene in particular where Reed is hard at work elbow deep in the Ragnarok's brain case. Not to mention that same clone is respon…

    MarvelNOW

    May 26, 2013 by Bluehunter16

Hello, true believers. Today, we will be discussing MarvelNOW and everything in it. Lets start with the X-men. Scott Summers sure has changed. A lot of people believe he turned out to be a villain, but if you read some of his titles like All New X-men and Uncanny X-men then you'd see his point of view. To be honest, I don't really like Scott all that much but I didn't really like him before MarvelNOW either. Moving on, Avengers. Janet's back and the team is doing great. The story on the normal Avengers title is a little slow but a good read. Not as much action as a fan would hope. The uncanny avengers is a good title too. I like how it's a team assembled to stop Scott Summers and the leader of that team is none other then Scott's Brother, …

After watching Dc's Arrow on the CW and with the the rights of Daredevil shifting back to Marvel Studios and with Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D. show going into production. I think the most obvious choice for a tv series would be Daredevil. He would fit perfectly into a Tv series with Matt Murdock being a lawyer by day and vigilante by night, we get the opportunity to do a pseudo-procedural with the show by having some of it be him in 'lawyer mode' prosecuting crimes and him in 'hero mode.'

He also has one of the most easiest abilities to display on Tv he has what is known as a Coconut Superpowers[1]. No need for crazy special effects just a normal guy fighting crime with enhanced senses and Ninja like skills very similar to Arrow. His villains cou…

Hey guys I was hoping you can help me I have been reading the Runaways and some Luke Cage. The main thing that struck me is they don't wear costumes, they just wear normal clothes. This has made me think as to why certain heroes wear costumes like Wolverine or Ms Marvel as it serves not pratical purpose. Can you help me think of other Marvel heroes who don't wear costumes? so far I have Hulk, Thor, Namor, Doctor Strange, Silver Surfer, Blade, Ghost Rider, Punisher, Man-Thing, Werewolf by Night, Tigra, Captain Mar-Vell.

    Hi !

I was thinking since a few month that maybe we should create pages for each documented persona of David Haller (Earth-616), on the same logic as for the Madri (Madrox duplicates)

When there was only Jack Wayne, Jemail Karami and Cyndi, it was maybe possible to list and present them in a decent way, but we have now a big bunch of personalities, with some of them who could use more place.

The big problem I see here is to establish a correct naming convention:

    • On the name page:
      • The True beings (Jemail Karami, Marci Sabol (Earth-616)), should kept their names on the pages.
      • For creations as Jack Wayne or Delphic (Personality 1012), I more unsure, as we have many cases: As for the counter-earth character, I think they should all get the text (Leg…

I'm forced to recall this one movie I've seen, in part because it helps establish my position on Iron Man 3. It's this 1932 movie I've seen called The Mask of Fu Manchu. In this movie, Boris Karloff portrays the Fiendish Dr. Fu Manchu, who plans on using two artifacts associated with Genghis Khan in a plot to take over the world. It's not that bad a movie. It's well acted, it looks decent, and has some good special effects, especially considering the film is over 80 years old.

It is also one of the most racist movies I've seen. And I've seen Birth of a Nation. Fu Manchu's plan is specifically to encite the peoples of Asia and the Middle East to "Kill the White man", and end their dominion over the Earth. And he does this with the help of sever…

So, we've been given a good look at the upcoming live-action TV show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe continuity. And it looks promising, to say the least.

It features the return of Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, as well as the introduction of his team, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, and Chloe Bennet as new recruit, Skye.

Here are a couple of previews for the series:

Yeah, this show could be great for introducing a number of characters, that could be harder to tackle with an entire feature film. Characters such as Daredevil and Punisher, who have had unsuccessful feature film adaptations, and …

So Ottawa Comiccon has come and gone, and I had the opportunity to work with Chris Claremont in my capacity as a guest liaison. During one of his panels he mentioned that he did not like how they revealed Wolverine's origin. He said that it took away the mystery of the character. He went on to comment how that the mystery behind Logan's past was what gave the character dimension and that when he wrote the character he had no intentions of revealing Logan's entire past, just small snippets here and there.

This got me to thinking... I've recently gone back to re-read a lot of the Claremont era X-books, and basically any time he delved into Wolverine's past (and a lot of writers did this as well the first time Chris left Marvel in 1991) usuall…

Firstly, I want to give credit to Henchman-4-Hire, the guy who got me thinking about this idea. You can read his blog post about the idea here.

Now, everyone who knows at least a little something about Hank Pym knows that he is considered a "wife-beater" by the comic community, and a person known to make mistakes (Ultron for example). Maybe, in Age of Ultron, Hank, if he's alive or whatever, has made his final resolve - to eradicate mankind and replace them with what he sees fit - robots.

Could he be the villain behind Age of Ultron?

I agree with the theory that Ultron and Pym may have somehow merged. This could be Marvel's way of...making Hank Pym a badass for once. Maybe he will be better as a villain rather than a hero. He could be one with …

Okay everybody, I've been patient, and I've been calm and collected. While I am a major fan of Marvel, I'm starting to feel a little disturbed by what they're doing.

Like for example, the Superior Spider-Man comic. I've gotten used to it somewhat, but I what I can't get pass is the fact of how Doc Ock is seriously causing problems in Spider-Man's reputation.

1.He's too violent and easily angered, he viciously beats up bad guys to near death. He even beat up two harmless prankster villains who weren't even trying to hurt anyone.

    2. He killed Massacre in public, with a gun. Peter would never ever use a gun, nor would he kill.

    3. He attacked the Avengers without reason, which surprised me.

Now around the time when Peter and Doc Ock were fighting i…

I noticed this when working through all the animated series, as I was shocked a lot were blank, I have done my best but there still a lot to go through. But of course once the page is up to a standard the badge can be removed.

On many forums Slott lingers on he just goes around harshly insulting people who didn't agree with his work. I am a witness to these acts of the "fiendish fat-man" i can't fathom why Marvel lets this guy represent them. But Slott isn't the only one Rick Remender writer of Uncanny Avengers told people who didn't care for Havok's speech to drown in hobo pee.... What is he 5? 1953

    May 5, 2013 by Nausiated

So I have just finished reading all the stuff from 1953 I'm going to cover, while I'm still working on the last few months of issue summaries and character appearances, I am once again writing a little retrospective of the year in question.

1953 is the last year of comic books that were published without any sort of censorship or code of conduct. For those who are not familiar with the era, in late 40s and early 50s parental groups came of the mind to believe that comic books were ruining the minds of children, turning them into everything that made 1950s America scared: criminals, maniacs, homosexuals. Sounds a lot familiar doesn't it? Pretty much the same arguments people make about rap music and video games these days. Leading the pack w…

LOOK: If you’re still reading, then don’t blame me if I accidentally give away a plot point. I’ll do my best not too, but I can’t guarantee anything.

Okay. Iron Man 3 review (watched in 3D)

Firstly, cast. As usual, Robert Downy Junior gets some brilliant one liners and manages to show Tony’s arrogant, loudmouth egocentric side. But at the same time, he also does a wonderful job of portraying someone who has just had the world pulled out from under his feet. This is a guy who was top of the world –rich, famous, nigh unbeatable. And suddenly all this stuff happens and suddenly he’s not the most powerful anymore. He’s a guy in a suit –which almost anyone could wear- and…

Then once they have added their one word, or basic sentence they vanish with the no future relevant information.
