History

The race that Tyros belongs to, he was originally the dictator of the small city-state Lanlak on the planet Birj (sometimes translated as Terran), a moon of the gas giant Marman in a solar eighty thousand years from Earth. Tyros ruled through the use of his limited power over rock and earth, this power was a mutation unique to Tyros, and was not a power all members of the race possessed. When Galactus took Tyros in as his new herald, the planet Birj had been freed from his dictatorship.
