History

According to police records, Benjamin Russell was a runaway from Boston, Massachusetts who had a criminal record. He had medical files detailing his time in the Weisman Institute for the Criminally Insane. According to one source, he had been in a coma ever since the day his mutant powers first manifested. His uemeur (or soul) merged with his identical twin Shatterstar's, apparently creating a composite being with all the memories of both.

This merger is allegedly over.

Notes

The reason why Shatterstar and Benjamin Russell appear identical has never been explained. Because he was in a coma during his appearances, all information about Benjamin Russell's life came from secondary sources.
