Synopsis for "Combat Kelly"
Combat Kelly and Cookie Novak are in the heat of battle when they notice that one of the Chinese soldiers is recording their fighting moves. Cookie tries to take aim with his rifle, but Combat stops him suggesting that they take the cinematographer alive to see what he has on film. They take the footage back to Major Thorn who plays it on the side of a cliff and see that the camera man had filmed the entire battle. As they are watching the film they are suddenly ambushed by an group of enemy soldiers. Combat and Cookie easily deal with them and then spot what they think are two stragglers further down the ridge and go after them. They end up walking into a trap as they are merely uniforms stuffed with straw and the two soldiers were hiding on them and they are taken prisoner.
Brought to the enemy camp, the commanding officer of the Chinese demands that Combat and Cookie tell them what the American supply line is like. When they refuse to talk they are locked in a barred wagon. Their captors arrogantly leave a rope in there in the hopes that the two Americans will hang themselves, but Combat has other ideas. Fashioning a lasso out of the rope, they sling one of their jailers and knock him out. Stealing the keys they free themselves and seek cover in a supply shed. There they find reels of battle footage. The two decide to put it to good use and use a series of projectors to play footage of American troops charging. This frightens the Chinese soldiers who believe that they are out numbered and flee over across to the American lines and surrender, much to the confusion of Combat and Cookie's fellow soldiers. Returning to base, the two American G.I.'s are thanked for their good work.
