History
Banjo and Abner's mother was irradiated by the North Mile Island accident. Her twin children were born mutants, and she fled back to the rural Pennsylvania town she grew up in to be with her family and escape persecution.
At age 10, Banjo and Abner encountered spider-Man, who was in the area searching for the missing Robbie Robertson. The twins' mother believed Peter to be a government agent, and she, distrusting the government for covering up North Mile Island, ordered her sons to kill him.
Banjo chased Spider-Man into the forest, where a short fight ended with Banjo falling into a mine shaft. Spidey caught the young mutant with his webbing, and took him back home. After Banjo told his relatives that Spidey was on their side, they let him leave peacefully.
It is unknown if he kept his mutant powers after M-Day.
