Spider-Man acquires an electrical cable and uses it to send a massive electrical surcharge into the robot. This strategy succeeds, the giant machine is rendered inoperable. With the Black Cat injured in the fight, Spider-Man continues alone, to trace the signal from his tracer. The tracer leads Spidey to an old meat processing plant. He changes into Peter Parker and enters the facility in secret. While inside, he eavesdropps on a conversation where he learns that SHADDOCK was a crooked FBI agent who had worked for the RED SKULL (Albert Malik) and had encountered Peter's parents in the past. SHADDOCK intends to kill Peter's parents and dispose of their bodies in the meet processing plant. His intention is based on his fear that the Parkers will expose him as a traitor and a corrupt murderer. Peter hears all of this while clinging to the ceiling, but a piece of the ceiling gives way. He falls onto a conveyor belt and is immobilized by a burst pipe spewing freon. SHADDOCK turns on the conveyor belt, which leads to a furnace, and Peter's parents watch helpless as he nears the oven.
