Allan Lewis was a reporter for the Daily Bulletin who, although wealthy, still worked as a reporter on minor stories. For no particular reason apart from a desire to stop the bad guys he decided to put on a costume and fight criminals the police can't or won't go after. In one story he was given a special gun by a nameless inventor. He was later killed by an unknown individual and found by the police.
