History

Rhino (Earth-1610) and Antonio Stark (Earth-1610) from Ultimate Spider-Man Vol 1 28 0001

Captured by Iron Man.

Under unknown and classified circumstances, the man who became the Rhino remained permanently attached to an experimental, cybernetic suit of armor developed by the U.S. Army. The man went mad because of his condition, called himself "The Rhino", and used the suit's incredible strength to rob the Chase Manhattan Bank, and crack its vault in half. Then, he rampaged through a busy street attempting to make his escape, destroying anything in his path, and tossing cars at the police with the suit's horn. While Spider-Man raced to the scene, Iron Man arrived, stopped the Rhino and captured him.[1][2][3]

Against Spider-Man.

Eventually, the Rhino was able to escape custody. This time, he targeted the Brooklyn Naval Yard, battling the police and Spider-Man, who seemed to be more of an annoyance than a threat, constantly evading the Rhino's clumsy blows. After knocking Spider-Man clear across the street into an office building, the Rhino was confronted by the U.S. army, who were hoping to retrieve the experimental armor. Spider-Man used the distraction to sneak up on the Rhino and rip his armor's back open, sabotaging its internal circuitry and knocking him out.[4][3][5][6]

During the Nimrod Crisis, the Rhino escaped once more while being transported out of town in a military convoy in the Queens-Midtown Tunnel. He battled Captain America and the army, before being defeated by the new Spider-Man, who used his Venom Blast to create a shortcut in his suits' circuitry, much like his predecessor.[1]
